David Cook is my #1 hobby, but STAR TREK takes #2 spot

STAR TREK the movie is made of WIN! Now, if I could somehow get David Cook in the next Star Trek movie, I would die a happy fangurl! My 2 loves/worlds would truly collide and it would be AWESOME!

I've never been a Star Treck fan. I'm not one for outer space movies/futuristic movies. However I do like J.J. Abrams work. Idk...I might just wait until it comes out on DVD...

This movie was made for people who have never really watched Star Trek. If you know the basics, you're good to go. I say go for the eye candy, stay for the action.

I'm a total sci-fi/fantasy geek, so I'm thrilled with this movie. I was afraid I wouldn't be. I think it does standalone, whether you're a fan or not. Just fabulously shot, cast and acted.

Just saw it last night! It was very cool. I had to explain to my dad all about AUs, and how this shouldn't affect the ST mythology. It also opens up a whole new franchise. The most important thing to me was the Kirk/Spock dynamic. It held true and was nicely executed. And McCoy! He was awesome. I will definitely see it again.

All I gotta say is...

*SPOILER*

Spock and Uhura. Damn. That was hot.

That was the coolest thing about it for me. How they set it up not to affect the original timeline, yet opened it up for the new cast.

Spock/Kirk dynamic for the win. I loved Bones! His relationship with Jim was perfect as well. Karl Urban was awesome. And I love Chris Pine as Kirk so much. I've always liked him as an actor, but feared I wouldn't like him as Kirk since I'm a huge Kirk fan. And I also feared I'd see Quinto as Sylar, but didn't happen. He is Spock. I'm a happy happy fangurl.
